I know for sure what we dwell on we become. Love that quote 🙂 Makes you think about what have I been thinking lately? What do you want to become? It’s not to late to re-invent yourself. Even small things such as personal characteristics maybe more courageous, speak your mind, fierce, bold, loving, forgiving… the list can go on and on. It is one step at a time but the first is being able to see yourself the way you want others to see you. It starts in your mind first and then it goes into the outside world.
Got this saying in my inbox this morning and it made me smile. As they say if you are already at the bottom, there is no where else to go but up. So true..
So start thinking of yourself the way you want others to view you. IF you want to be heard then start seeing yourself as a person with important things to say. That what you do have to say has value. Raise your confidence level throughout the day. I was once introduced to some fairly simple ideas (those are usually the best kind) to boost your self-esteem. You give yourself points through out the day for either a daily treat or save the points for something big. Boosting your self-esteem inside examples were given as easy as brushing your teeth in the morning and evening, you gather points for doing your hair and wearing makeup and jewelry with your outfits. Looking in a mirror and telling yourself I love you over and over again until you feel love for yourself in that moment. Some of the more advanced ways were to smile at strangers, say hi as you pass by, hold doors open, assist when you see someone in need, leave a little extra for a tip, make conversation with someone you don’t know. Little and big things boost yourself up and in the process boosts others up too. Do little thoughtful things for the people you love in your life. A card, a small present, if they enjoy a treat whether it is candy or a mocha pick them up one and deliver it. Once I heard of a great example a husband picked some wild flowers (daffodils, and other pretty flowers, not the kind that look like weeds and delivered them to his wife and daughter). Melted their hearts and he saw what a small impact that had on their day. Gave him a big boost too.
Sometimes in life it is the small things that make the biggest difference for yourself and others.
